I had two main projects: The Electronic Documentation Project and the Social Media Project. Both of these gave me insight into typically unseen areas of dentistry, and allowed me to take some ownership in the practice. I also had some minor projects throughout the semester that enhanced my skills as a future dentist. 

The Electronic Documentation Project Was a great look into the old and new of Dentistry. It was my job to sort through all the paper files in the basement and organize them within the Electronic system, Eaglesoft. This software allows us to store letters that we might need for the future including implants, abutments, and extractions. By scanning these in I got to read cases from beginning to end. I learned a lot about teeth just by reading over these files. I also learned how to navigate the in office operating system which was a goal of mine at the beginning of the internship. 

The Social Media project was also a continuation of a project completed before me. While one internship has started the Facebook page for the office, I took it upon myself to increase the prestige to match that of Clemson Family Dentistry. So I took it upon myself to revamp the Facebook page. Doing this allowed me to look into the business and marketing aspects of social media. I read articles and developed skills I will be sure to carry with me in the future.
